FIRST of all, have I really not posted since March?! đź‘€ April is a blur. I do corporate events as part of my full time job, and April is when I hold the biggest annual event - Take Your Child to Work Day. I'm still recovering from having over 100 8-12 year olds at my office.
But on the weekends, it's alllll about the music. Last week I finally got around to seeing Who Brought the Dog at Bar A. I've been sharing their events for quite some time but hadn't gotten a chance to see them.
Who Brought the Dog is a diverse cover band with multiple members taking the lead vocals performing a wide variety of genres. They played everything from Shania Twain's "Feel Like a Woman," to Michael Jackson's "Beat it" to the Jersey Shore cover band anthem "Mr. Brightside.
Watching the lead vocals switch between Dee, Chris and Frankie is fun and exciting and keeps the energy up. Dee has such a pretty voice and is a little vixen on stage but don't let that pretty little voice fool ya. She can belt it out. She's a girl's girl - playing to the crowd - especially that night at Bar A which was loaded with a ton of girls - getting them to dance and sing along.
Chris and Frankie, who've been in bands together for many, many years bring that rockin vibe to the stage as well. They bring a fun, charismatic stage presence that kept the crowd singing and dancing all night. Overall the band has strong vocals, talented musicianship and nonstop energy.
Just to give you an idea of additional songs/artists they played:
Blink 182
Exes and Ohs
Maroon 5
Valerie
Stacy's Mom
American Girl
Taylor Swift
Bruno Mars
We only caught one set but you picking up the vibe they got? They play a lot of different tunes and artists. Check out their website and social medias, give them a follow and check out their very full schedule this summer. You can also check out some videos in Flying Garter's highlight reel and a recent post of SoundBites with Dee, Chris and Frankie to get to know a little more about the band and that interesting name. I know I can't wait to see them again.
Until next time kittens...peace, love and ROCK 'N' ROLL!
