A MUCH needed night of dancing to one of our favorite tribute bands was exactly what the doctor ordered for Cha Cha Cherry and Jtweets. These two have been hibernating wayyyyy too much lately. But nothing will get them out of their pjs and a night of Netflix more than three sweet little words: SUPER. TRANS. AM.

That's right, the boys were back in town last weekend at Red Bank's The Vogel for their Super 70s Rock Show (new rebranding - more on that later) and The Flying Garter was there with a packed crowd of 70s rock loving "super friends."

The night started early for The Flying Garter as we had the privilege of going backstage to interview the groovy guys from STA. Video to come.... We are so excited to share that once we get it edited. Really great stories and conversation from this very talented band.

One of the questions we had for the band was about the recent announcement regarding their rebranding from just Super Trans Am to Super 70s Rock Show featuring Super Trans Am. Don't fret my little friends. It's just a more accurate way to promote themselves since not everyone will know they are a 70s rock tribute band. They've been mistaken for a Supertramp cover band! Some people didn't even realize a trans am was a car wildly popular in the 70s! But nothing has changed - still the same great tunes, music and of course - costume changes.

That evening STA unleased a few new tunes that the crowd just ate up. I mean at this point we can just call the shows "sing-a-longs" because people really dig this band and the music they are playing. As always, STA did not disappoint. The show was full of energy throughout an extended 90-minute set.

They are once again playing Sundays this summer at Ocean Casino at Ovation Hall in addition to a number of other shows coming to a town near you.

If 70s rock is your jam, then STA is your peanut butter.
