Ummm....The Flying Garter? What the hell is that?

You know a little movie, Almost Famous? Only one of the greatest movies about music (in our humble opinion). In that movie, Kate Hudson portrayed "Penny Lane," based on the real-life Penni Lane, the most famous groupie in history. Back in the 70s, the real Penni Lane formed The Flying Garter Girls, a group that traveled the country as groupies for famous rock bands.

But alas, Penny Lane in Almost Famous said, "We are NOT groupies. Groupies sleep with rock stars because they want to be near someone famous. We're here because of the music. We are Band-Aids. We don't have intercourse with these guys. We support the music. We inspire the music. We're here because of the music."

At the end of the day, the real Penni Lane, the fictional Penny Lane, The Flying Garter Girls and the Band-Aids WERE there for the music (among other things).

We are NOT groupies. Nor are we Band-Aids. But we love the music.

We are here for the music. Rock on.
