Here I Go Again… To Another Concert (2026)

What's new pussycats? So far for 2026, my concert calendar is light. I don't see a lot of concerts from my fav bands out there or if I do, none of them are coming to Jersey (I'm talking to you Less Than Jake and Goldfinger). But I am definitely hyped up about some shows I already penciled into my calendar...

First up, we have Toto/Christopher Cross/The Romantics at PNC Arts Center July 18th. I saw Toto and Christopher Cross with Men at Work last summer here too. I forgot how many Christopher Cross songs I knew because I was really there for Toto as it was my first time seeing any of these bands. The one thing I do remember was that Toto played extended versions of it seemed every song on their set list. Songs seemed to last ten minutes. And it was pouring that day. Fortunately I was under the tents in the back of the lawn. It wasn't the most enjoyable experience so I'm hoping 2026 is better.

After that we have Motley freakin Crue (with Tesla and Extreme). I have never seen Motley Crue live in the many many years I've been a fan. But I love them. And Tommy Lee is one of my favorite drummers. This show is gonna be wild. All I know is when I hear that opening riff of Wild Side I'm gonna get goosebumps.

Next up...Lynyrd Skynyrd...If you know me, you know that they are my fav band. I don't care if it's not the original lineup. Call it what you want. A tribute band, a cover band.. All I know is they play all the songs I love, Johhny Van Zant does his brother Ronnie 😍 justice with his performance and they always end with Free Bird and a touching tribute to all the band members lost since that includes Ronnie's hat in the center of the stage on top of a mic. I've lost track how many times I've seen them perform and I can't wait to see them again.

I'm also debating on seeing David Lee Roth on the Stone Pony Summer Stage. I became a wee fan girl in the 80s when he fronted Van Halen and even had a button of DLR on my backpack. I think it may be worth it just to see I've seen him once live.

That seems to be all for now. This may be my lightest concert season yet. All my normal venues haven't fully unleashed their full schedules yet so I'm hopeful I'll be adding some more concerts to my calendar.

Who are you excited to see?

I don't even have to ask Jenny - we know she's waiting anxiously for Clutch at Starland this year.

The INdefinitive Guide to NJ Cover Bands

Recently I saw a post on social media naming the “must-see” bands in NJ for 2026. It even went on to say it was the “ complete ” guide to NJ’s best cover bands and bar bands. The “DEFINITIVE” guide.
