Get down...boogie oogie oogie

What do you get when you mix an exciting front woman, a dancing horn section, talented multiple other vocalists and musicians, and a set list that gets everyone moving? You get The Cliffs. Led by front woman Kristin Cochran and joined onstage by her husband and co-founder, Matt Cochran (trumpet), The Cliffs started in 2019, after Kristin and Matt branched off from Brian Kirk and the Jirks.
The Cliffs entertained a jam-packed happy hour at Bar A last Friday playing tunes from the 60s to today. You'll never see the same set list at a Cliffs show. The Cliffs are the type of band you just can't help but want to dance when you see them. One of my favorites is their 70s disco melody (yessss Disco). Queen Kristin surely does get down and boogie oogie oogie.
It's also exciting to see when she passes the mic to any of the other members of The Cliffs. I was eager to see their newest vocalist, Connor Closs, for the first time. He's only been in the band a few weeks! And all I can say is wow. What a great addition to the band. When he covered Benson Boone, Beautiful Things, the crowd JUST. WENT. NUTS.
I'm also quite appreciative (as someone who loves ska) of the horn section who just add that special touch to the band, and yea they do choreography too. Rounding out the band you have Aidan on keys, Chris on drums, Dylan on bass. But of course, I can't forget Bryan Rojas on lead guitar - it's something you gotta see when he plays his solo strutting across a bar top.
If you are looking for a fun night out (or even a wedding band!) to dance the night away - check out The Cliffs. Catch them every Thursday this summer at Red Rock in Red Bank. You can see their full schedule on their website above. Give them a follow on Instagram and Facebook. Check out our highlight reel on Instagram.
Don't forget your boogie shoes....
