A Cold Beer on a Friday Night...

At Moore's...would hit the spot if I actually liked beer but I leave that to Jtweets...


A little recap overdue (your Garter girls are crazy busy working)....but nonetheless....a recap worth waiting for.


The Flying Garter hit up Moore's in Freehold two weeks ago on a Friday night to catch, for the first time, Temporary Grace. Despite Cha Cha's protests and whines because she wanted to see Ace Frehley, it just didn't work out as Jtweets was working late that night. But what did work out was catching a late show down the road from Jtweets work - Temporary Grace.





Who is Temporary Grace? They are a NJ-based cover band playing hits from the 60s to today specializing in high energy performances. With both a frontman AND frontwoman, they provide a unique combo that was both fun to watch, listen to and dance to.





They played a variety of hits including:

  • Footloose

  • Rich Girl

  • Aerosmith medley

  • Pink Pony Club

  • Sublime

  • Beggin

  • Chicken Fry

  • I love rock 'n' roll

  • Don't stop me now

  • We will rock you

  • Come together

  • Led Zeppelin

  • The Doors


There were two "aha" moments for us that night where we were like DAMNNNNN - we like these guys! For Cha Cha it was when they covered a few hits from Led Zeppelin - now easy to do and they nailed it.


For Jtweets - she was in heaven when they covered The Doors - your girl's favorite band. She was blown away. That may have been the first time we've seen The Doors covered.


Both lead vocalists had some serious powerful voices and their backing band came to effing rock it out. You want to hear some rockin' good tunes? You NEED to check these guys (and lady) out. Trust us. We never steer you wrong. Super impressed.
